| I always ship my puppies by AIR. I find this is the SAFEST and FASTEST way to transport your newly adopted puppy to you. I use American Airlines for all of my flights, but I have had need of using a different airline, in case American doesn't fly into the closest airport of the new owners. Also a factor in air-shipping, not all airlines accept cargo. All pets must fly in the cargo area. Shipping goes throughout the United States with a fee of $250. Please keep in mind, summertime shipping can sometimes be a problem. If you purchase a puppy when the temperature is above 75 degrees, your puppy may have to fly at night or very early in the morning. This means that you may have to pick your puppy up at an inconvenient time. Please be assured that I try my very BEST to make the shipping of your puppy the easiest for both you and the puppy. Before the puppy boards the plane, and is in route to you, I will give you all of the information that you will need to safely pick up your new pet at the airport. Such information would be the flight number, time of arrival, Air Way bill number, and where you will need to pick up the puppy when he or she arrives. This little bundle of joy has just been on an airplane, in a Pet Taxi, and away from ALL he knows as home. Please give him time to respond to you. It is most likely that he will be very glad to see you, but then again, you may receive a little timid response at first. All that is needed is LOTS of attention and affection. Trust me, it won't take long and he will be your life-long friend! Your puppy will come with a bag of dog food that he has been used to eating. I use Kasco Puppy Feed a very high protein feed, that I give to my mama's as soon as they welp, and continue on until the puppies are weened. As soon as the puppies are big enough to move around in their cage, they have access to the food at all times. They begin eating a little of the feed at 4 weeks of age. Whatever feed you decide is best for your puppy, please introduce it to them gradually - giving a little of his with the kind you've chosen. An abrupt change of diet could cause several problems for your new puppy. If you have any other questions not covered in this information, please feel free to email me as I will do my best to answer all of your questions. |
